Marketing & Special Events Assistant Intern
"Hello my name is Lauren Garabedian! I am the NEW Marketing and Special Events Assistant Intern at United Way of Greater Niagara.
I was born and raised in town of Niagara and currently I'm attending Niagara University with the goal to graduate in 2020. I'm involved in many programs at school and outside of school. I play club volleyball at NU as well as interning with the new Ostapenko Center for race and inequality.
I also have written articles for Niagara Frontier Publications and continue to write for them when I have the chance. Since a young age I have been heavily involved in the community through youth programs and church at First Assembly of God on Niagara Falls Blvd. I wanted to work with United Way because of their involvement in the community.
The reason I wanted to be a communications major is because it gives me the ability to affect so many lives, and that's exactly what United Way does. Their involvement in the community helps so much in many ways that many people may not know, and I want to help those people understand the work that United Way does. For it is these experiences that will help develop and create my style of writing in many ways."
