AFL/CIO Labor Liaison & Campaign Coordinator
My name is William (Bill) Jakobi, I was born and raised in the LaSalle area of Niagara Falls NY. I went to LaSalle Sr. High School. I’m been married to my wife Barb for 29 years, I have two beautiful daughters Janelle (24) and Kayla (21). I live in Lewiston NY.
Former employee at Carbon Graphite for 25 yrs. Plant close in year 2000 and currently work at the United Way of Greater Niagara as the AFL/CIO Labor Liaison for the past 12 yrs. I’ am a proud union member of CWA Local 1117/1115. Currently am the communications director of the AFL/CIO Niagara/Orleans Labor Council. I sit on the Board of Director of Family & Children’s Services in Niagara Falls and I’m a former football coach out at Niagara Wheatfield High School.
I enjoy doing things that help our community grow. I have a passion for working with today’s youth by trying to help them develop character, respect, dedication and pride. Also I have a passion for union activism.
Being a union activist I truly believe in “Working to create a path of prosperity for the next generation”.
